environmentally-based programmes of industry-wide interest
and designed specifically to benefit its Member companies.
These
programmes can be designed to improve the fundamental knowledge
required or accelerate the progress of polymer materials or
processing based innovations. They can also be designed to
help groups of companies to reduce costs (e.g. energy costs)
or to comply with forthcoming legislation (such as the Climate
Change levy, the WEEE directive or the REACH legislation).
